Monaco Grand Prix 1969 – Monte-Carlo
Poster for the 27th Monaco Grand Prix, held on May 18, 1969, in Monte-Carlo. The design features a photographic image by Maestri, showing a car mid-race on the Monaco street circuit. The layout reflects the characteristic features of the course — tight corners, elevation changes, and narrow streets alongside the harbor.
The 1969 race was won by Graham Hill driving a Lotus-Ford, after a series of retirements by leading drivers including Jackie Stewart, who had qualified on pole. This was Hill’s fifth win at Monaco, a record at the time.
The field also included drivers such as Jo Siffert, Jean-Pierre Beltoise, and Piers Courage. The 1969 event took place during a period of technical evolution in Formula 1, as teams were beginning to implement more advanced aerodynamic designs.
The poster represents a specific moment in Formula 1 and Monaco Grand Prix history
