Original vintage French travel poster by Léon Lellée for the PLM railway, c. 1930. The subject is the Roman Théâtre Antique in Arles, with its remaining Corinthian columns. The theatre was built in the 1st century BCE and is one of the oldest stone theatres in Roman Gaul. It continues to serve as a site for performances and cultural events.
Lellée (1882–1947) was a French painter and illustrator known for his regional subjects of Provence, where he lived and worked. He produced a number of posters for the PLM (Paris–Lyon–Méditerranée) railway company during the interwar period, promoting travel to the south of France. This lithograph highlights the enduring Roman heritage of Arles as a destination.
Comments The theater was built during the reign of Emperor Augustus, between 27 BC and AD 14O. One of the best-preserved Roman theaters in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this monumental theater is famous for its acoustics and its massive scenic wall. It hosts the Chorégies d’Orange, an opera and classical music festival, each summer.

Original German advertising poster for Crüwell Tabak, c. 1930s. The design shows a nighttime view of the Taj Mahal, linking the tobacco brand with imagery of the East. The text reads Gebr. Crüwell Spezialfabrik für Rauchtabak Gegr. 1717 Bielefeld (“Crüwell Brothers, Special Factory for Smoking Tobacco, Established 1717, Bielefeld”).
Crüwell was a long-established German tobacco manufacturer with origins in the 18th century. By the early 20th century the company issued a number of decorative posters and point-of-purchase displays to promote its pipe tobacco products. This example was printed on heavy board for shop display rather than wall posting, and is smaller in scale than typical lithographic advertising posters.

Beautiful view on to Fontainebleau done in lithography at the Lucien Serre Imprimerie in Paris circa 1930. Lucien Serre was perhaps the most used printers for the Paris Lyon Mediterrannee Railways system during this period. Also Julien Lacaze did many posters for the PLM. Poster is in absolute excellent condition.

Original 1938 advertisement for Luxardo Zara, the Italian liqueur company known for its Maraschino and cherry brandies. Designed by Armando Pomi, this lithographic poster reflects the style of late-1930s Italian commercial art, a period when illustrated posters were the main form of brand communication.
The image was created to promote Luxardo’s products produced in Zara (Dalmatia) before the company relocated to northern Italy after World War II. It remains an authentic document of Italian advertising history and of one of the country’s oldest liqueur producers.

This original Razzia poster was created in 2004 for the Louis Vuitton Classic, the prestigious vintage automobile event held at Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire, England. The Louis Vuitton Classic gathered some of the world’s most exceptional historic cars in one of Britain’s most refined settings—a stately manor owned by the Rothschild family—combining art, elegance, and automotive heritage in true Louis Vuitton style.
Razzia’s design captures the glamour and sophistication of the event, reflecting his signature approach that fuses bold imagery with refined graphic composition. The poster was printed as a serigraph/lithograph in Paris and is hand-signed by the artist. It comes directly from Razzia himself.
