Pop Art posters & prints from France and Italy capture the bold and iconic aesthetic of the movement. Often created for museum exhibitions and gallery shows, they feature celebrated works by Andy Warhol and other Pop Art pioneers.
Warhol’s timeless images of Elizabeth Taylor, Elvis Presley, Mao Zedong, and his vibrant Flowers series are frequently highlighted, showcasing Pop Art’s fascination with celebrity, power, and striking visual design. Posters inspired by Chanel No. 5 and films like Blow-Up further reflect the genre’s embrace of modern life and iconic imagery.
THE BEATLES (BANNER) – RICHARD AVEDON – 1967 – Original 1967 Printing
Original black-and-white Beatles banner poster created by Richard Avedon in 1967 during the height of the Sgt. Pepper era. Commissioned by The Beatles’ company NEMS, Avedon photographed John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr individually in London against a stark white backdrop, producing what would become one of the most iconic visual statements of the 1960s.
The full Avedon series included four colorized psychedelic portraits and this striking black-and-white composite banner. The images were published internationally in early 1968 through The Daily Express (UK), LOOK Magazine (USA), and Stern (Germany). This example is from the original European Stern printing, produced by PPP Printers.
Although thousands were printed at the peak of Beatlemania, relatively few survive in strong condition. Most were displayed with tape and later discarded. Authentic 1967 printings such as this are the only versions considered original first editions and have become important cultural artifacts, frequently featured in Pop Art, 1960s, and Rock & Roll exhibitions.

Original vintage exhibition poster created for Andy Warhol: Ten Marilyns at the Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst in Ghent, Belgium, in 1990. This poster was printed using imagery from Warhol’s famous Ten Marilyns silkscreen portfolio, one of his most recognized series dedicated to Marilyn Monroe.
Warhol began creating portraits of Monroe in the early 1960s, following her death in 1962, transforming her into one of the central icons of his Pop Art career. The Ten Marilyns portfolio condensed his fascination with celebrity, glamour, and repetition, themes that defined much of his work.
This poster, printed in offset lithography, faithfully reproduces the visual impact of the original silkscreens while serving as a piece of cultural history tied to Warhol’s international exhibitions. It remains highly collectible as an authentic 1990 printing, mounted on linen for preservation, in excellent condition.

This is an original Italian advertising poster designed by René Gruau for Bemberg, promoting the brand’s rayon jacket linings. The slogan translates roughly as “Bemberg – the lining that goes fast.”
Gruau depicts motorcyclists wearing jackets opened in motion to reveal vividly colored linings, making the interior fabric the central visual element. Rather than focusing on the motorcycle itself, the image emphasizes movement, style, and the contrast between the outer garment and its lining.
The poster was part of a campaign that repositioned Bemberg linings from a hidden functional detail to a visible design feature. Gruau’s graphic style—bold shapes, limited palette, and strong sense of motion—fits naturally with the motorcycle theme while remaining rooted in fashion illustration. This work reflects his long involvement with luxury and apparel advertising and is a good example of his later commercial posters.
