This poster was created by Razzia (Gérard Courbouleix-Dénériaz) in 1992 for Louis Vuitton’s annual “Automobiles de Princes” car show at the Parc de Bagatelle in Paris. During the early 1990s, Louis Vuitton sponsored this prestigious vintage automobile event, commissioning Razzia each year to design a new image. His bold, Art Deco–inspired style gave the series its distinctive visual identity, and these posters have since become highly collectible.

Original 1939 lithograph by Robert Falcucci, printed by Imprimerie d’Art et Tourisme for the French National Railways (SNCF). This striking design promotes travel to the Vallée de Chevreuse, a picturesque region just southwest of Paris celebrated for its rolling hills, historic villages, and natural beauty. Falcucci illustrates the Vaux de Cernay, with reference to the Château de Dampierre and the Abbey of Port-Royal, landmarks tied closely to the area’s cultural history. At the time, the Vallée was also known as a circuit for early automobile tours beginning at Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse, making this a poster that intersects both tourism and motoring heritage.
The poster is mounted on linen and preserved in excellent condition, rated “A,” with fresh colors and strong impression. A fine example of Falcucci’s work for French railways, combining elegance of design with a timeless subject that remains a favorite excursion for Parisians.
