This original 1996 poster was created by Mister King for Willi’s Wine Bar in Paris, part of the long-running series of annual wine-themed posters commissioned by the bar. Printed as a serigraph on vélin paper by Caza in Paris, it was designed as a contemporary promotional image rather than a re-edition or reproduction.
The poster remains in excellent condition and is unlined, with fresh color and strong graphic presence. It is a good example of the modern phase of Willi’s Wine Bar commissions, which have become a small collecting field of their own for wine and restaurant enthusiasts as well as poster collectors.

Les Affiches etrangere was created by Jules Cheret at the Chaix imprimerie to celebrate the famous poster artists and their works of the time. Poster collecting was the rage between 1895 and 1900 and Cheret made sure to supply the public with all the images of a selection of the best posters of the time. The Festa della Vendemmia was an annual autumn celebration in Lugano, highlighting the grape harvest with parades, music, costumes, and the tasting of wines from the Ticino region. The event became one of Lugano’s most popular festivals, drawing both locals and visitors to celebrate Swiss-Italian cultural traditions.
Daniel Buzzi (1914–1983) was a Swiss painter and graphic designer active in the mid-20th century. Known for his clear, bold poster compositions, Buzzi worked on cultural and commercial projects that helped shape modern Swiss poster design. His work for the Lugano wine festival is among his best-known contributions, combining lively imagery with the Swiss tradition of festival advertising.
