Bemberg – La fodera che va forte

This is an original Italian advertising poster designed by René Gruau for Bemberg, promoting the brand’s rayon jacket linings. The slogan translates roughly as “Bemberg – the lining that goes fast.”
Gruau depicts motorcyclists wearing jackets opened in motion to reveal vividly colored linings, making the interior fabric the central visual element. Rather than focusing on the motorcycle itself, the image emphasizes movement, style, and the contrast between the outer garment and its lining.
The poster was part of a campaign that repositioned Bemberg linings from a hidden functional detail to a visible design feature. Gruau’s graphic style—bold shapes, limited palette, and strong sense of motion—fits naturally with the motorcycle theme while remaining rooted in fashion illustration.
