Issued in Paris by Imprimerie Chaix in the late 1890s, this plate presents Carqueville’s cover illustration in the reduced format characteristic of the series, with the Les Maitres de l Affiche blind stamp in the lower margin. In excellent condition on linen, it is a clean, well-preserved example of American magazine advertising as presented to the European poster-collecting public.
