    San Salvadour near the port of Hyeres in the south of France not far from Saint Tropez, there is a station d’hiver to go to undertake cures for Arthritis, beaute and health. With its mineral water source it was a destination for Parisians at the turn of the century as part of the PLM French Railways system. Hugo D’Alesi is the artist and also the printer for the PLM. Excellent and rare.

    Vaison-la-Romaine was created by the artist Leo Lelee in 1925 to promote tourism to the town of Vaison-la-Romaine in the Vaucluse department of southeastern France. Situated in the south of France, the town is known for its Roman ruins, medieval upper town, and the stone bridge crossing the Ouvèze River, set against a backdrop of Provençal hills.

    Printed by Lucien Serre, Paris, in lithography, this poster is part of the interwar period’s regional tourism campaigns, which celebrated France’s historic towns and distinctive landscapes.

    Nice Cote D’Azur by Henri Matisse 1965 Danseuse Creole

    This vintage poster titled La Danseuse Créole appeared in 1965 to promote the Musée Matisse in Nice. It features an image based on a 1950 cut-out by Henri Matisse. The original artwork, made from gouache-painted paper, was inspired by American dancer Katherine Dunham. Matisse saw her perform in his studio and later created the piece. In 1953, he donated the work to the city of Nice. When the museum opened in 1963, it became part of the permanent collection. Atelier Mourlot in Paris printed the poster as a color lithograph. The Syndicat d’Initiative de Nice issued it with support from the French tourism office. This edition includes Matisse’s printed signature and was produced in limited quantity. The image reflects his late paper cut-out style, with flat shapes and strong color contrast.

    Ferrara Mario Borgoni Italy – Mario Borgoni, an Italian artist known for his travel posters, designed the Ferrara poster as part of his promotional work for the Italian tourism industry and Enit the Italian Railways in 1928. Pictured is the Castello Estense (Este Castle) is a moated medieval fortress located in the center of Ferrara, Italy. It was built in 1385 by Niccolò II d’Este, the ruler of Ferrara, in response to a popular uprising. The castle was designed as both a military stronghold and a noble residence, with its massive defensive towers, drawbridges, and elegant interior halls.

    Oberland Bernois – After Skiing Pleasure was created by Swiss artist Hans Falk in 1949 to promote winter holidays in the Bernese Oberland region. The design highlights the leisure side of skiing, encouraging visitors to enjoy the après-ski atmosphere as much as the slopes.

    The poster was printed by J.C. Müller AG, Zürich, using stone lithography, and measures 39.4 × 27.6 inches (100 × 70 cm). It was issued during the post-war expansion of Swiss winter tourism, when the Bernese Oberland was developing as an international ski destination with resorts such as Wengen, Grindelwald, and Mürren.
