Bitter Campari “L’Aperitivo” – Fortunato Depero, c. 1965
Vintage advertising poster for Campari designed by Fortunato Depero, originally created in the 1930s and reissued by the company in the 1960s. According to Signor Passerini, former curator of the Campari collection, the company published this poster in the 1960s. This example is a second edition printed in offset lithography by Officine Grafiche Leopoldo Baroni, Milan. A bold and iconic Futurist composition, the design is one of Depero’s most recognizable works for Campari and reflects the strong graphic style associated with the brand. Signed in the plate “F. Depero”.

Brewery History
Founded in 1860 by Christian Schmidt, the brewery became one of Philadelphia’s largest. It was known for producing American lagers and expanded its distribution across the northeastern U.S.
Marketing and Closure
Schmidt’s promoted its beer through various advertisements, including the bicycle-themed poster. The brewery closed in 1987 due to competition from national brands, but its name remains associated with Philadelphia’s brewing history.

Very Rare poster for the original release of the Vikings in 1958. Film starring Kirk Douglas, Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh. Fantastic and most impressive image from this movie featuring all the important stars and the size of the poster which is 95 inches longtheboat is almost life size. Some yellowing along folds, some restorations but presents excellently and would make any home cinema room a special place
