Sarajevo 1984 Downhill Racer – Ismar Mujezinović, Original Olympics Poster
Original 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics poster titled “Gorenje”, designed by Ismar Mujezinović and produced for the official Olympic organizing committee. This work is part of the series of posters commissioned for the XIV Winter Games, each highlighting either a sport or a sponsor associated with the event. Gorenje, one of Yugoslavia’s largest home appliance manufacturers, was a major corporate sponsor of the Sarajevo Olympics, and posters like this celebrated both national industry and international sport.
The 1984 Winter Olympics were the first held in a socialist and Slavic-speaking country, with Sarajevo hosting athletes from 49 nations. Mujezinović, a Bosnian painter and graphic artist, created multiple official designs for these Games, including dynamic representations of alpine skiing, ski jumping, speed skating, and sponsor-related imagery. His bold, energetic style captured both the athleticism of the sports and the cultural pride of Yugoslavia in presenting itself on the world stage.
This example was printed as an offset lithograph, professionally mounted on linen, and survives in excellent condition. It remains a significant piece of Olympic history and a collectible from one of the most memorable Games of the 20th century.

French Loto – Mermaid Poster (1989) by Bernard Villemot
Designed in 1989 by the celebrated French poster artist Bernard Villemot (1911–1989), this original French advertising poster was created for the Loterie Nationale to promote its summer holiday drawing, offering a potential jackpot of 33 million francs. Villemot portrays a reclining mermaid with a numbered tail, lounging on a beach under a radiant sky—a witty, elegant image of chance and seaside leisure.
Printed by A. Karcher, Aubervilliers, this large-format work represents one of Villemot’s final poster designs, completed in the year of his passing. It exemplifies his hallmark blend of graphic simplicity, strong color, and visual charm that defined postwar French poster art.

Oberland Bernois – After Skiing Pleasure was created by Swiss artist Hans Falk in 1949 to promote winter holidays in the Bernese Oberland region. The design highlights the leisure side of skiing, encouraging visitors to enjoy the après-ski atmosphere as much as the slopes.
The poster was printed by J.C. Müller AG, Zürich, using stone lithography, and measures 39.4 × 27.6 inches (100 × 70 cm). It was issued during the post-war expansion of Swiss winter tourism, when the Bernese Oberland was developing as an international ski destination with resorts such as Wengen, Grindelwald, and Mürren.
Regione della Jungfrau was created by Ed Weber circa 1950 for the Jungfrau region of Switzerland, home to ski resorts such as Wengen, Grindelwald, and other Bernese Oberland destinations. The design features a fashionable lady skier in the foreground, with the electric mountain train and the Alps rising dramatically in the background — a classic image of postwar Swiss winter tourism.
Printed in Bern by Laupen using lithography, the poster captures the style and energy of mid-century alpine travel advertising. This example is linen-backed and in excellent “A” condition.
