    Description and History
Rare original Spanish travel poster promoting the famous Semana Santa (Holy Week) celebrations in Seville, created in 1951 by the artist Pablo Sebastián. This striking lithograph captures the solemn majesty and deep religious tradition of the city’s processions—one of Spain’s most important annual events, marked by candlelit parades, penitents, and richly adorned religious icons carried through the streets.

Sebastián’s design reflects the atmosphere of devotion and pageantry associated with Andalusian Catholic culture during the postwar era, emphasizing the emotional intensity and dramatic light that characterize Seville’s Holy Week observances.

    Comments:
Authentic original 1951 lithograph in Excellent “A” condition, professionally linen-backed. A fine and scarce example of Spanish religious and cultural poster art from the mid-20th century.
