A rare and striking original Italian travel poster by Severino Trematore, known professionally as “Tremator” (1895–1940), created for ENIT and the Italian State Railways. The dramatic view looks across the rooftops of Bologna toward the city’s famous medieval Two Towers, the Torre degli Asinelli and the leaning Torre Garisenda, framed within a Gothic arch bearing the arms of Bologna and the House of Savoy. The Palazzo della Mercanzia and Church of San Bartolomeo are also visible in the historic cityscape. Printed by the celebrated Genoese firm Barabino & Graeve, one of the most important printers of Italian tourism posters during this period.
