Beautiful original printing lithograph at the Imprimerie Sonor in Geneve Switzerland for the Electric train to Martigny Orsieres. The View is of the Notre Dame des Neiges Chapel near Verbier. Edmond Bille was a famous Swiss Painter. The poster is in excellent condition on linen.

In this elegant 1904 poster for the French ballet Cigale, artist Maurice Leloir captures the frigid fate of one of the story’s central figures with remarkable sensitivity. The ballet, written by Henri Cain and set to music by the celebrated composer Jules Massenet, was performed at the Théâtre de l’Opéra-Comique in Paris. Leloir’s lithograph was printed by Imp. Devambez, one of the foremost Parisian art printers of the early 20th century. The poster announced the première of Massenet’s Cigale—a divertissement-ballet evoking the poetic melancholy and grace typical of fin-de-siècle French theater.

CINZANO — LEONETTO CAPPIELLO — c.1950
Original Italian advertising poster for Cinzano designed by Leonetto Cappiello. The image features Cappiello’s celebrated figure raising a glass of Cinzano, set against a bold graphic background characteristic of the artist’s influential poster style. Cappiello (1875–1942) was one of the most important poster artists of the early twentieth century and helped define modern advertising imagery with his dramatic compositions and vivid color contrasts.
This printing was issued for the 50th Fiera di Milano (Milan Fair), noted in the lower left margin, with the imprint Ricordi Arti Grafiche S.p.A., Milano appearing at the lower right.

Citizen Kane (1941) is widely regarded as one of the most important films ever made, celebrated for its groundbreaking narrative structure, deep-focus cinematography, and enduring influence on modern filmmaking. The Italian title Quarto Potere (“The Fourth Power”) reflects the film’s central theme—the power and influence of the press.
This striking Italian design presents a bold, painterly interpretation of Charles Foster Kane in a political setting, reinforcing the film’s exploration of ambition, authority, and public image. Italian posters from this period are particularly admired for their distinctive artistic approach, often differing significantly from American designs.
Printed in the large and imposing 4-foglio format, this poster was produced in limited quantities for theatrical display and was not intended to survive. As a result, examples of this size are scarce today.
This 1958 Titanus issue is very rare, especially in such well-preserved condition, and is seldom encountered on the market.

Original German advertising poster for Crüwell Tabak, c. 1930s. The design shows a nighttime view of the Taj Mahal, linking the tobacco brand with imagery of the East. The text reads Gebr. Crüwell Spezialfabrik für Rauchtabak Gegr. 1717 Bielefeld (“Crüwell Brothers, Special Factory for Smoking Tobacco, Established 1717, Bielefeld”).
Crüwell was a long-established German tobacco manufacturer with origins in the 18th century. By the early 20th century the company issued a number of decorative posters and point-of-purchase displays to promote its pipe tobacco products. This example was printed on heavy board for shop display rather than wall posting, and is smaller in scale than typical lithographic advertising posters.
CYCLES PLASSON — MANUEL ROBBE — c.1897
Original French advertising poster for Plasson bicycles designed by Manuel Robbe. The composition shows a confident female cyclist mounting her bicycle while elegantly dressed women remain in the background. Manuel Robbe (1872–1936) was a French painter and printmaker trained at the Académie Julian in Paris. He became known primarily for his color prints and aquatints, though he also produced a small number of advertising posters during the poster boom of the 1890s. His work is associated with the Art Nouveau period and is appreciated for its refined composition and controlled color palette. The posters he created for the Plasson bicycle company are among his most recognizable advertising works.
