Jacobs Ladder by Marc Chagall – 1977 Vintage Poster
In 1977, Marc Chagall (1887–1985), one of the most celebrated modernist artists of the 20th century, created Jacob’s Ladder as part of his long and prolific career that often drew on biblical narratives, dreamlike symbolism, and vivid color palettes. This poster was produced for an exhibition of Chagall’s posters at the Bibliothèque Nationale in Nice, France.
Printed in stone lithography by Imprimerie Mourlot, Paris — Chagall’s favored printer for much of his lithographic work — the poster reflects both the technical excellence and artistic vision characteristic of their collaborations. The composition presents Chagall’s interpretation of the biblical scene of Jacob’s dream, rendered with his signature floating figures, vibrant blues, and ethereal atmosphere.

Susan Stewart – Pineau des Charentes Original Poster, 1999 – Offset Lithograph, Hand-Signed, Linen-Backed
Original advertising poster for Pineau des Charentes, created in 1999 by American artist Susan Stewart (Myself). I lived and worked in France for many years, producing artwork for a number of Cognac and Pineau producers in the Charentes region.
This poster was commissioned to promote Pineau des Charentes, the traditional fortified wine produced in western France from grape must and Cognac eau-de-vie. Stewart’s composition continues the long tradition of artists creating distinctive advertising imagery for the wines and spirits of France.
Printed in Grenoble in 1999 by offset lithography on quality Canson paper, this example is hand-signed by Susan Stewart. The poster has been professionally linen-backed for preservation and remains in excellent condition.
