This original French stone lithograph from the 1890s advertises Dentifrices Roi — “Toothpaste of the King.” The design depicts a young woman in Belle Époque dress admiring her teeth in a hand mirror, a charming and aspirational image used to promote good dental care at the time.
Printed by Imprimerie, Paris, this large-format poster (39 x 55 inches) reflects the rich visual language of late 19th-century French advertising. The era was defined by advances in lithographic printing, allowing for fine detailing, subtle shading, and vibrant color saturation. Dental products such as Dentifrices Roi were often positioned as luxury goods, their advertising aimed at the growing urban middle class.
