    Walasse Ting (1929–2010) was a Chinese-born artist whose work bridges Abstract Expressionism, CoBrA, and Pop Art. His work combines elements of traditional Chinese painting with a modern, expressive, and highly gestural style, often focusing on recurring subjects such as women, horses, and flowers. Ting described himself as an autodidact, working freely between Eastern and Western influences, and was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1970.
