Festival du Cirque de Demain (1988)
    Original French Circus Poster
Designed by Raymond Savignac — Printed by Éts Saint Martin, Asnières

Created by the celebrated French graphic artist Raymond Savignac (1907–2002), this whimsical poster announces the 11th Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain, held in Paris from January 20–27, 1988. The event—literally the “Circus of Tomorrow”—was founded to spotlight new generations of circus artists from around the world, combining innovation and traditional spectacle under the dome of the Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione.

Savignac’s design captures his unmistakable humor and clarity: a simple, colorful composition that conveys joy, movement, and the human element of performance. His ability to distill complex ideas into playful visual symbols made him one of the most beloved French poster artists of the 20th century, known for works for Air France, Perrier, Monsavon, and countless cultural events.

Printed in serigraphy by Établissements Saint Martin in Asnières, this is the original 1988 edition, professionally mounted on linen and preserved in excellent condition.
