Each year, a new poster is commissioned to mark the event, and this design features a jester leaping in exuberant celebration, symbolizing the joy and spectacle of the carnival. Printed by Adia in Nice, this example is an authentic first printing, professionally mounted on linen for preservation.

Original lithographic poster titled La maison de mon village, printed in 1969 by Mourlot Imprimerie, Paris. The poster was produced for a travelling exhibition of Marc Chagall’s lithographs. This is an original lithographic printing, not a reproduction. It was issued in an edition of 2,500 copies and is unnumbered, as published. The poster was printed on ordinary paper. The image measures 44 × 56 cm, with an overall paper size of 51.5 × 78 cm. The work is referenced in Sorlier, pages 116 and 117. The poster is unlined and in excellent / perfect condition.
