A. Laurens – Le Bain des Nymphes (1898)

Published in 1898 for L’Estampe Moderne, this original stone lithograph by A. Laurens depicts a group of classical nymphs bathing, a subject frequently treated in late-nineteenth-century decorative art. The composition follows the academic tradition of mythological themes, emphasizing form and movement rather than narrative. Laurens contributed several plates to L’Estampe Moderne, a monthly art publication issued in Paris by Masson & Piazza between 1897 and 1899. Each print was produced by F.
