Stewart lived in France for many years and produced artwork for several of the well-known Cognac and Pineau companies of the region.     This is an authentic original poster for Pineau des Charentes, produced in 2002. Susan Stewart’s work for French Cognac and Pineau producers places her among the contemporary artists contributing to the long tradition of advertising design for French wine and spirits. The poster survives in excellent condition, mounted on linen, and represents both regional history and the career of an American artist active in France.
