The poster was made for the French public for travel on the PLM railways to Geneva. The view includes the Water Jet and view on to the town. RARE and in perfect condition.
Rochers De Naye – Chemins De Fer Territet-Glion, c.1900
A beautiful early Swiss railway and travel poster promoting the Rochers de Naye above Montreux and Lake Geneva (Lac Léman). The richly detailed composition follows the journey from Territet on the lakeshore through Glion and Caux to the summit at 2,045 meters, with views of the mountain railway, Grand Hôtel des Rochers de Naye, Lake Geneva, steamboats and a château along the route. A particularly attractive turn-of-the-century image combining Alpine scenery, Belle Époque tourism and early railway travel.
