Vintage poster Relax by René Gruau, created for the French shipping company Chargeurs Réunis. This edition is a second printing from the 1970s, mounted on linen and preserved in excellent condition.
René Gruau (1909–2004), born Count Renato Zavagli Ricciardelli della Caminate, was one of the most influential fashion illustrators of the 20th century. His bold lines and elegant compositions appeared in major fashion magazines and advertising campaigns for leading designers. Gruau’s imagery distilled style and sophistication into single striking forms, shaping the visual language of fashion illustration for decades.
Relax is an example of Gruau’s distinctive style applied to travel advertising, combining simplicity with a refined sense of elegance.

Original poster for the 1994 Nice Jazz Festival, created by the French artist Razzia. The festival was held at the Arènes de Cimiez, the Roman amphitheatre above Nice that has long served as a cultural venue.
Razzia (b. 1950) is known for his bold graphic style and for producing posters directly from his painted works. Since the 1980s he has been one of the few contemporary artists to maintain the tradition of the artistic poster, working for clients such as Louis Vuitton, Cointreau, and major cultural events. His association with the Nice Jazz Festival produced some of the most recognizable jazz imagery of the period.
This large-format serigraph was printed for the Ville de Nice in connection with the 1994 edition of the festival. It is the first printing, in excellent condition.

Carnaval de Nice was created by Jean Luc in 1950 for the celebrated annual carnival held in Nice, France. The event, one of the oldest and most famous carnivals in the world, is known for its elaborate parades, colorful floats, and lively street celebrations along the Promenade des Anglais.
The 1950 edition took place during the postwar revival of the carnival, when the city was re-establishing its cultural traditions and welcoming international visitors back to the French Riviera.
Printed by Imprimerie Meyerbeer in Nice using lithography, the poster captures the festive spirit of the Riviera’s signature winter event. This example has been mounted on linen for preservation and is in excellent “A” condition.
