    Yves Brayer (Provence) — Galerie “65” Cannes — 1972

A beautiful exhibition poster for painter Yves Brayer, depicting a lone figure walking along a Provençal path filled with color and vegetation. The composition reflects Brayer’s deep connection to the landscapes of southern France, rendered with a rich, expressive sensitivity that defines his work.

Yves Brayer (1907–1990) was a prominent French painter who trained at the École des Beaux-Arts and exhibited at the Salon d’Automne and the Salon des Indépendants. He was elected to the Académie des Beaux-Arts in 1957. While best known for his evocative interpretations of Provence, Brayer traveled extensively, capturing the character of Spain, Italy, Morocco, and other regions with a distinctive, expressive style.

This poster was created for his 1972 exhibition at Galerie “65” in Cannes and printed by the renowned Mourlot studio in Paris. Mourlot is celebrated for producing some of the finest lithographic posters of the 20th century, working with artists such as Picasso, Léger, Miró, Matisse, and Chagall.

Printed as an original lithograph, the poster has strong decorative appeal and represents a fine example of French exhibition poster production from the period.
